Are you passionate about ensuring quality and compliance in residential construction? We are looking for a dedicated Clerk of Works to oversee a diverse portfolio of new build developments across the Northwest, spanning both rental and sale properties.

Key information

With a robust pipeline of housing projects at various stages from initial design through to active construction, you will play a vital role in delivering high quality homes. This position offers the opportunity to provide expert inspection and quality assurance services throughout the development lifecycle and beyond.

About the role

  • Conduct weekly site visits across all developments, ensuring works meet our standards for quality, materials, and compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Produce detailed weekly reports including site progress, labour levels, weather conditions, and photographic evidence. Share findings with Employer’s Agents and development staff.
  • Attend design and site meetings, provide expert advice, and support resolution of site specific issues, including layout and specification queries.
  • Liaise with our compliance team on statutory matters such as gas, fire, electrical safety, carry out snagging inspections, attend handovers, and manage defect inspections post-completion.
  • Review specifications for S106 developments, stay updated on best practices in affordable housing, and advise on updates to Mosscare St Vincent’s Employer’s Requirements.

Requirements

  • Background in construction management. 
  •  Demonstrable knowledge of building regulations.
  • Knowledge of site safety best practice.
  • Excellent communicator and negotiator.
  • Full driving licence and willing to travel across the Northwest area.
