As a Co-Production and Aspiration Project Worker you’ll be working hands on with care experienced young people. You will be an active part in these young peoples lives supporting there wellbeing and aspirations through a range of activities designed to broaden their horizons and increase their comfort zone. 

You’ll work with a tight-knit team of colleagues to build relationships with the young people accessing our service. You’ll be a positive role model, supporting them in overcoming their previous trauma and learning to trust in adults again, along with the help and guidance of your colleagues and Break’s therapeutic services.

You’ll be patient, thrive in a team environment, able to support those around you and have the emotional intelligence and resilience to manage challenging situations.

To be successful in the role you’ll be a good team player, and a problem solver.

Please note that you must have a full, valid, manual driving licence. 

• To work alongside the lead role, to support the development and co-production of new initiatives within Break that facilitate young people’s involvement in shaping the organisation. Develop their skills and enable them to experience a wide variety of new opportunities.
• To work alongside the lead role to develop and co-produce new initiatives within Break that raise children and young people’s aspirations, support their mental wellbeing, expands their horizons and enable them to experience a wide variety of new opportunities through monthly wellbeing sessions and residencies.
• To support the delivery of the participation and wellbeing activities from Breaks lifelong opportunities team; including the planning and facilitation of a range of activities and events to engage with children, young people and families.
• To initiate contact and engage with children and young people who are care experienced and or have accessed Break’s services and may wish to become involved in Break’s participation, co production and aspiration activities.
• To work with children, young people and families to explore a creative and imaginative approach to participation and aspiration that will keep the young people interested and excited by the work of the groups and any other forum as determined by service users.
• Ensure that participation and aspiration activities are open to the widest range of children, young people and families involved with Break including those who are hard to reach.
