Key information

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Concierge to join our team at India House, Manchester, M1 6LG on a 6-month fixed-term contract. 

Reporting to the Estates Services Manager, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and secure living environment for the residents at India House. Key duties of this role include access control, CCTV monitoring, and communal cleaning to support the day-to-day operation of the building.

About the role

  • Provide a first point of contact for customers and provide advice and assistance, for subjects such as repairs, planned maintenance, anti-social behaviour, estate and tenancy management and rents.
  • Ensure concierge services provided comply with all Health and Safety legislation and guidance.
  • Be aware of all aspects of the CCTV and access system (including recording, copying and viewing in accordance to the Data Protection Act) and monitor all access points.
  • Respond positively and quickly to agreed standards to complaints and customer challenge in order to resolve the issues and to ensure that lessons are learnt.
  • Liaise and coordinate with other teams as necessary to effectively manage and maintain homes and neighbourhoods and deliver customer focussed services.
  • Ensure that all communal and landscaped areas are maintained to the highest standard in line with agreed specifications, targets and timescales for action.

Requirements

  • Direct experience of working with customers and customer feedback in a service delivery environment.
  • Experience of adhering to Health and Safety rules within a customer facing environment.
  • Good level of IT skills and knowledge of CCTV operation.
  • Good time management.
  • Good team working skills and a flexible approach to work.
  • Good oral and written communications.
  • Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.
