Key information

Cymru Virtual Family Space is a free, bilingual (Welsh and English) service that provides online support to parents and carers across Wales. Through workshops, parenting programmes, resources and direct support, we help families access the information, guidance and connections they need to support their children and family wellbeing.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Welsh-speaking Family Link Worker to join our growing team.

This is a Welsh Essential Project Worker 2 role. The post offers hybrid working, with the majority of work undertaken remotely from home. There will be occasional requirements to attend face-to-face meetings, training and service events. Evening and weekend working may be required to meet the needs of families and service delivery.

About the role

  • Provide one-to-one support to parents and carers across Wales through telephone, video call and other virtual methods.
  • Build positive relationships with families and identify barriers preventing engagement with support services.
  • Support parents and carers to access and engage with Cymru Virtual Family Space workshops, parenting programmes and resources.
  • Help families develop confidence in participating in virtual groups and increase their digital skills where required.
  • Undertake brief assessments to identify needs, strengths and appropriate support options.
  • Provide information, guidance and signposting to relevant local and national services.
