Key information

You will join Home-Start UK at a critical time as we develop and prepare to launch our new, federation-wide strategy in early 2027. Working as part of a growing team, you will collect, manage, explore and share data to support organisational objectives and deliver business impact.

About the role

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data relating to Home-Start UK and our network of over 160 local Home-Start charities to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Use a range of tools and techniques to cleanse, transform, model and analyse the data, creating visualisations and reports (in appropriate formats including Power BI) to communicate data, insights, and conclusions to key audiences.
  • Work with and support Home-Start UK and local Home-Start teams to engage with and use data and to inform decision-making.

In a typical day you could be working with the Head of Insight and Impact to visualise and present the results of our latest National Data Return to the Executive Leadership Team, engaging local Home-Start teams to gather their feedback as we develop a new federation wide impact measurement framework, and working with colleagues in Home-Start UK’s Fundraising Team to ensure they have the data they need for a funder proposal. Ultimately, your efforts will help ensure that our movement can reach and support more families with babies and children facing their toughest times.

If this sounds like your kind of opportunity, then we want to hear from you!

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you will be technically strong and have the appetite to work with us as we establish and grow the robust impact function that our federation needs while ensuring we deliver on current commitments.

You will bring an excellent track record as a data analyst, including experience designing and embedding new systems and capabilities at an organisational level – with an understanding of the unique opportunities and challenges that a federated/decentralised organisational structure brings. Success in this role will depend on your ability to build strong, trusted relationships.

You will be a natural collaborator, able to work effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. You will relish the challenge of developing a shared understanding of impact that balances consistency with local flexibility and ensures the voices of local Home-Start teams and the families we support are central to our approach.

You will enjoy working independently and as part of a remote team, with the ability to attend inperson team meetings in Leicester on a quarterly basis.
