We are looking for a Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) Minor Works Case Worker to help deliver practical home adaptations that enable disabled and vulnerable residents to live safely, independently and with dignity in their own homes.

About the role

  • Managing discretionary Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) applications end-to-end, including eligibility checks and financial assessments.
  • Explaining assessments and funding decisions clearly and sensitively to customers.
  • Supporting Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) Case Officers by coordinating documentation, monitoring progress, and following up on outstanding information.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for customers and partner agencies.
  • Maintaining accurate, audit-ready records and contributing to continuous service improvement.

Requirements

  • You are a compassionate and organised professional who thrives in a customer-focused environment. 
  • With experience in casework, administration or financial processing, you bring strong transferable skills and a keen eye for detail. 
  • You are confident communicating with a wide range of people, including vulnerable customers and approach every interaction with empathy, professionalism and respect.
  • You are comfortable managing multiple cases at once, using your IT skills to stay organised and ensure nothing slips through the cracks. 
  • Whether you are carrying out financial assessments, preparing agreements or coordinating with partners, you take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work. 
  • A full UK driving licence, or equivalent is essential for this role.
