We have an exciting opportunity to work with GIPSIL’s Community, Health and Prevention Service as part of the Specialist Domestic Violence Team supporting victims of domestic abuse.

Key information

The specialist worker will work alongside wellbeing workers, counsellors and housing support workers to provide support to service users who are experiencing domestic abuse. 

About the role

They will also provide guidance, support and advice to the housing support team in relation to these clients.

Requirements

  • Experienced in providing advice and support to young people in vulnerable or at-risk situations.
  • Skilled in undertaking assessments, managing caseloads, and producing reports and recommendations.
  • Experienced in outreach work and delivering advice and support through open-door services.
  • Able to build and maintain effective relationships with partner organisations, carers, and parents.
  • Experienced in acting as an advocate and providing information, advice, and support to young people.
  • Demonstrates accurate and meaningful record-keeping for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to evaluate and assess the effectiveness of services and identify areas for improvement.
  • Capable of working under pressure, making considered decisions and sound judgments in a timely manner.
