Key information

We have an exciting opportunity for an eCommerce Assistant to join the existing Retail team.  Reporting to the eCommerce Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the fulfilment and processing of online shop orders and online customer service, in line with correct procedures.

About the role

  • Take lead with the fulfilment and processing of ecommerce orders in line with correct procedures and in support of the wider team.
  • Conduct audits of packaging supplies and lead on reordering ensuring consistency across all outgoing orders.
  • Pack and dispatch online orders consistently maintaining high quality of standard expected for a National Museum.
  • Arrange couriers for collection of online orders with sustainability and cost effectiveness in mind.
  • Arrange and track returns for unwanted or damaged items.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction is at the forefront of a customer journey through the online shop.
  • Work with suppliers and team members to organise the drop shipping of orders direct to the customer where appropriate whilst keeping the customer informed of order progress.

Requirements

  • Experience in organising stock rooms.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Excellent Information Technology (IT) skills.
  • Proven ability to plan and organise resources and workloads to create superior customer experience.
  • Excellent understanding of customer service.
  • Able to prioritise conflicting demands.
  • Able to work flexibly and adapt to change.
