Key information

The ECT Department are looking for a committed Band Three Clinical Support Worker to work as part of the ECT Department. You will work with the multi disciplinary team to establish and deliver a program of care for patients within the Department; working with a dedicated team of professionals that provide the highest standards of care and support to people with acute mental health needs.

We are building a new hospital in Bexhill to replace our inpatient services and ECT Department. This means that, if you are successful in your application, you will be asked to transfer to the new facilities when it opens.

The temporary base until the new Hospital opens, will be: Department of Psychiatry, Eastbourne FGH, Kings Drive, Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN21 2UD.

About the role

You will be expected to manage episodes of care, working as a key member of the multi disciplinary team, reporting patients' condition to qualified staff whilst providing a safe and welcoming environment for patients, carers and visitors.

You will undertake a range of routine job procedures that will require some training but knowledge of personal and social care is required.

Requirements

  • Good general education.
  • National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level Three or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of working with mental health needs in a paid or voluntary capacity.
  • Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues, wider teams and service users.
  • An understanding of confidentiality.
  • An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check will be required.
