Mencap's Employ Me team provide supported employment programmes for people with a learning disability, learning difficulty and autism. The Employ Me team work with partners to develop innovative and inclusive programmes that will support people to develop skills, knowledge and experience that leads to paid employment opportunities.
£28,810
per year.
Full time, Contract
(37.5 hours per week.)
South London boroughs of Sutton, Kingston and Merton.

Key information

This role is full time fixed term contract until March 2030. There will be travel required for this role, approximately four days a week. 

About the role

You will be required to engage with local providers and employers to generate referrals for the programme and employers providing work opportunities for our South London supported employment programme.

South London supported employment programmes aims to increase workforce participation by helping people into sustained employment by:

  • Reducing economic inactivity among those with complex barriers.
  • Improving workforce retention by providing structured in work support.
  • Strengthening links between employment, health, and social care to ensure holistic support.
  • Delivering measurable outcomes, including job placements, retention rates, and employer engagement success.

Requirements

  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Be approachable across all levels to build partnerships with employers and referral partners.
  • Prior experience of networking and engagement with an ability to communicate and present to different audiences using different formats.
  • Knowledge of supported employment and meeting employment outcomes.
