An Expert with Lived Experience is someone who knows a lot about something because they have lived with it in their own life.

This is a relief job, How many hours you work will depend on:

• The area you work in
• How many new staff start in that area
• The needs of current staff

At the start, there will likely be more hours, as we will be training current and new staff.

About the job

• You will help to train people who work in health and social care.
• The training is called The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Autism and Learning Disability.
• This training is important – It was set up after Oliver McGowan, an autistic young man with a learning disability, sadly died in hospital. His death might have been stopped.
• The training helps staff learn how to better support people with autism and learning disabilities.
