Key information

If you’re someone who leads with empathy, champions quality of life, and believes in supporting people to live the lives they choose, while building genuine, trusted relationships, this could be the role for you.

About the role

How Will You Make a Difference

As a Support Worker, you’ll help people live fuller, more independent lives by:

  • Supporting daily routines from morning to bedtime
  • Planning and enjoying person‑centred activities — walks, swimming, shopping and trips out
  • Building trusted, respectful relationships that support confidence and wellbeing
  • Keeping clear and accurate records
  • Working closely with colleagues and professionals

This is a role where building strong relationships is just as important as providing practical support.

About the Home

Fiennes House isn’t just a residential home — it’s a vibrant, purpose‑built 12‑bed community where adults with complex care needs, learning disabilities, or autism can truly thrive. Some of the people we support may display behaviours that can challenge, but with the right compassion and teamwork, we create an environment where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered.

A Home Filled With Joy, Curiosity, and Sensory Magic

One of the highlights of Fiennes House is our incredible large sensory room — a space designed for comfort, discovery, and pure enjoyment. With calming lights, gentle sounds, tactile materials, music, and even a heated waterbed, the sensory room offers moments of relaxation, stimulation, and connection. It’s a place where people can explore their senses and experience the world in a way that’s meaningful to them.

Diversity and Inclusion

We are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.

  • We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and experiences, including disabled and neurodivergent candidates
  • Reasonable adjustments are available throughout the recruitment process
  • In exceptional circumstances, a genuine occupational requirement may apply under the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1)

For this role, gender is considered a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

Requirements

This is a physical, hands‑on role, and to succeed you’ll have:

• Good spoken and written English
• A full UK manual driving licence
• The right to live and work in the UK
• A practical, active approach to work, with the ability to support people throughout the day
• A caring, positive and resilient mindset

If you genuinely care about people, we can teach you the rest.
