We are looking for a part-time Financial Wellbeing Advisor to join our MPFT Team.
24,784.50 to £26,309 pro rata
Per year
Part time, Hybrid
(22.5 hours per week. Fixed term until 31 March 2027 with possible extension dependant on funding)
Cherry Orchard Clinic, Tamworth with some homeworking

Key information

The role will be working in Partnership with the Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust (MPFT) and will involve providing a range of flexible support to people with financial difficulties within the Tamworth community. The role will provide advice and support to patients receiving mental health support under MPFT, whose mental health problems are worsened by issues relating to financial difficulties. Providing advice on the full range of generalist enquiry areas, in particular Welfare Benefits and Debt, maintaining Citizens Advice quality standards and achieving performance targets.

About the role

  • Interview clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills to allow clients to explain their problem(s) and empower them to set their own priorities
  • Assist clients with other related problems where they are an integral part of their case and refer to other advisers or specialist agencies as appropriate
  • To maintain confidentiality, use discretion and sound judgement in undertaking all areas of responsibilities

Requirements

Experience is not necessary, but we are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Can monitor and maintain own standards ensuring work is accurate
  • Has worked in a public-facing role
  • Is experienced in working with a diverse range of people and providing a welcoming environment for clients
  • Is in possession of a full driving licence and use of a car, or otherwise able to fulfil the travel requirements necessary

Full training and support will be given to the successful candidate to enable them to carry out their role
