Key information

You’ll work primarily in the Tees Valley area (Hartlepool, Stockton, Middlesbrough), with occasional travel beyond. You'll have a fixed shift pattern of 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 3:30pm on Fridays in summer.

About the role

  • Be a part of our high performing gas team, working safely to ensure we meet all our compliance requirements. We'll provide you with a company van, fuel card, tools and any PPE you'll need for the role.
  • Service and repair gas appliances to keep our customers safe and warm.
  • Complete associated gas certification documentation. You’ll work line with gas safety, installation and use regulations, as well as our standard operating procedures.
  • Jobs are planned for you by our Work Planners – so you can concentrate on carrying out work to a high standard, ensuring ‘right first time’.
  • Contribute to our ‘TradePlus’ scheme, acquiring diverse skills to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience as a Gas Engineer and able to complete services and repairs to a high standard.
  • Has an NVQ Level 3 / Craft Certificate in Gas Fitting, as well as the following Domestic qualifications: ACS, CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, MET1. Any commercial gas qualifications would be a plus. CRK1 and HTR1 are preferable to have.
  • Holds a valid UK driving licence.
  • Comfortable using digital devices or be willing to learn. We use mobile and hand-held devices to allocate jobs and for you to record your completion of work.
  • A commitment to safe working practices and a good grasp of health and safety regulations.
