(48 Hours per week, on an five days on and three days off shift pattern, with start times between 05:00 and 05:30.)

Key information

With the GXO Heavy Goods Vehicle Trainee Driver Academy, you can go from Van Driver to fully qualified Class Two Driver within twelve months with all training fully funded. This isn’t just a job. It’s your fast track route into a high earning, nationally recognised profession. As a van driver, you’ll be responsible for completing multi drop deliveries to our valued customers helping keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. You will be delivering alongside a Drivers Mate who will assist in the lifting and shifting of items.

Please note that a learning agreement applies, and costs may be repayable if you leave within two years.

About the role

  • Work as a van driver delivering to customers’ homes with care, professionalism and great service representing GXO and IKEA.
  • Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly secured.
  • Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects.

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • No more than six current penalty points. 
  • A positive, can do attitude. 
  • Reliability, good communication and teamwork.
  • Physical capability to lift and move items.
  • Multi drop experience is useful but not essential.
