Key information

Right now, we are looking for a Part Time Housing Coordinator to play a pivotal role in our Housing Service across multiple locations including Ealing, Brent, Croydon, Hackney / Tower Hamlets, Merton, Richmond and Wandsworth.

As a Housing Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring that Hestia's refuge accommodation is safe, secure, welcoming, and well maintained for the people we support.

About the role

  • To provide a welcoming safe environment for those living in Hestia run properties.
  • To work inline with Hestia’s Values Respectful, Genuine, Dedicated, Collaborative, Courageous.
  • To work alongside the support Team ensuring the day to day running of the buildings. Daily, weekly and monthly Health and Safety checks and Fire safety checks are completed, and actioned where appropriate. 
  • Have oversight of the housing management agreement for the patch including a clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities and repair reporting systems.
  • Keep a clear record of all furniture replacement and repairs.
  • Hold regular meetings with support staff to oversee all planned moves, and produce a Void plan, including ordering new furniture, booking in deep cleans, repairs and / or decorating where needed.

Requirements

  • Good standard of general education or equivalent experience. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Willingness to actively engage in undertaking relevant personal development and training. 
  • Experience of working in housing settings. 
  • Previous experience of using computer based systems to accurately record work.
  • Knowledge of health and safety relevant within a supported housing and refuge setting.
  • Basic maintenance skills.
  • Strong sense of accountability and personal responsibility.
  • Ability to travel between accommodation sites and conduct in-person service user meetings.
