Key information

Due to continued growth Cygnet have an exciting opportunity for an organised HR Onboarding Assistant to join our central functions team.

You will be joining the team on a full time, 40 hours per week basis working three days from home and two days within our city centre Birmingham office. 

About the role

This role will include chasing pre-employment checks for applicants, making sure all pre-employment checks meet the CQC criteria, working closely with our recruitment and HR team to ensure you are offering an efficient and supportive approach to our central team.

You will also assist the management team with the administration of any recruitment/HR functions as needed.

Your day-to-day

  • Provide a high standard of organisational and administrative support
  • Prepare contract and pre-employment offers
  • Keep files and records as required
  • Work co-operatively with all other members of the administration team to ensure the department runs smoothly
  • Answer the telephone & respond to all enquiries in a friendly, efficient manner
  • To be responsible for the auditing of pre-employment, and sponsorship items as required; including DBS, references, right to work in the UK and English proficiency documents.
  • To work in line with Home Office guidelines surrounding sponsorship of employees.
  • Ensuring the relevant documents and systems are kept up to date to accurately reflect the status of the new starter and the outstanding pre-employment checks and contractual information.
  • Chasing sites for outstanding sponsorship items, and ensuring completion of all information as necessary.

Requirements

  •  Flexible, organised, able to prioritise workloads, solve problems and make decisions
  • Calm under pressure and can work under your own initiative
  • A strong written and verbal communicator with an eye for detail and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Windows and the internet
