We are currently recruiting for Integrated Care Response Assistants who can help build on the success of the service and also help pilot our new End of Life Care pathway across the County.
£23,952 to £25,982

Key information

This is a part time, permanent position working thirty hours per week. Those not working nights will work a mixture of morning, afternoon and evening shifts between the hours of 7am to 10pm across a rota covering seven days a week, this includes weekends, bank holidays and other public holidays. Within both day shift and night shift roles, you'll be based at the Neville Centre on the Leicester General Hospital site.

About the role

As an Integrated Crisis Response Assistant, your most integral tasks include supporting people that have been referred into the service across the city within two hours and undertaking a dynamic risk assessment to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the person facing the crisis.

In addition to this, you’ll carry out various health checks where appropriate which includes measuring oxygen levels and carrying out blood pressure and temperature readings. Your responsibilities will include responding to fallers and people on the End of Life care pathway across the City and the County as part of our integrated offer of support whilst helping contribute towards a personalised support plan for the person when ongoing needs have been identified.

Requirements

  • Experience of working within a health or social care setting which includes the provision of care to adults and older people with complex needs for example a physical disability, a learning difficulty or a mental health diagnosis.
  • You’ll also understand and have the ability to identify all forms of abuse and report and record this in line with our safeguarding procedures.
  • Able to communicate effectively to a wide range of people from varied and diverse backgrounds.
  • Using your excellent communication skills both verbal and written sufficient you will write progress reports, whilst ensuring accuracy when completing contact sheets and medication records at all times.
  • Be responsive and resilient working under pressure in what is challenging and equally rewarding role whilst having the ability to problem solve in often difficult circumstances.
  • Due to the nature of the role you'll need a full driving licence.
