We are looking for an International Relations Advisor to join our Policy and Public Affairs department on an initial twelve month fixed term contract. 
£35,640 to £41,763
Per year
Full time, Contract, Hybrid

Key information

The International Relations Advisor will provide operational, administrative, research and policy support to the Head of International Relations, enabling the effective delivery of our international strategy and the smooth day to day functioning of the international relations portfolio.

You will be required to work onsite in the office two days per week.

About the role

  • Monitor relevant international policy and sector developments and maintain background information on key policy areas, institutions and international initiatives. 
  • Working with the wider policy team, undertake research to support international engagement, including film sector structures, funding landscapes, policy frameworks and key stakeholders in different international territories. 
  • Prepare briefing notes, background papers, presentations, meeting summaries and reports to support senior colleagues’ international engagement. 
  • Support the management of international relationships by maintaining accurate records of contacts, engagement history, approaches, outcomes and follow up actions.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a corporate affairs, public policy or external relations environment.
  • Ability to monitor, interpret and summarise international policy developments, sector trends and institutional initiatives.
  • Experience undertaking research and preparing briefings or reports for senior colleagues.
  •  Experience in an administrative, coordination or advisory role, ideally within a cultural, policy, public affairs or international context.
  • Experience managing databases or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and handling complex information accurately.
