About the role

You will support delivery of the programme through a combination of education-based and work-related activities, delivered both one-to-one and in group settings.

You will:

  • Engage and motivate young people through community-based delivery, encouraging participation and progression towards positive outcomes
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and be able to travel across the Torbay area
  • Work closely with employers to provide in-work support and ensure sustainable employment outcomes for young people aged 16–24
  • Support young people, particularly those with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), complex needs, those at risk of social exclusion and those from marginalised communities
  • Plan and deliver a person-centred, accredited programme tailored to individual needs and aspirations

Requirements

You will have:

  • Experience working with young people in an educational or support setting, including those with special educational needs and social, emotional or behavioural challenges
  • An understanding of the supported employment process
  • Basic knowledge of social enterprises
  • Strong IT, organisational and self-management skills
  • A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to market individuals or services to employers
