£30,000 to £34,000, depending on experience, pro rata for part time hours
Per year
Part time, Temporary
(28 hours per week across 4 days (10am to 6pm). 1-year fixed term contract (continuation dependent on funding))
Primarily based at The Greenwood Centre, 37 Greenwood Place, London, NW5 1LB

Key information

We are looking for a Leadership Coach and Pathway Lead to deliver our Disability Leadership Pathway. Through coaching, workshops, peer support and practical opportunities, you will help Disabled people develop ideas, lead projects and create change around issues that matter to them. 

About the role

You will build positive relationships, provide coaching and practical support and work alongside Disabled people to recognise strengths, overcome barriers and turn ideas into action.

Requirements

  • You must be a Disabled person to apply for this role. 
  • We welcome people who have developed their knowledge, understanding and abilities through a range of life experiences.
  • Proven ability to reflect on your lived experience as a Disabled person and apply this understanding to recognise how barriers, assumptions, access and opportunities shape Disabled people's lives.
  • Experience of building trusting relationships with Disabled people and supporting them in a positive way
  • Ability to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions and work alongside Disabled people to identify barriers, recognise opportunities and explore practical ways forward
  • Demonstrates a commitment to working alongside Disabled people as individuals, recognising their strengths, choices and access requirements.
  • Understanding of the value of lived experience and peer support in working alongside Disabled people
  • Good IT skills, including using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Outlook Calendar.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the Social Model of Disability and how it influences their approach to working with Disabled people

  • Experience relevant to peer-led work or community activity
  • Experience supporting groups, projects or community opportunities
  • Experience supporting accessibility or reducing barriers to participation
  • Experience supporting funding applications
