Learning Support Care Assistant (LSCAs) will be uniquely positioned to consistently support students to achieve their personal developmental goals in all settings and throughout the full week. Following a two week rota of early and late shifts, the role will be worked over forty four weeks of the year, with holidays taken outside of term times. You must be flexible to cover night shifts.

• To support education, social and independent living activities for those with learning difficulties and or disabilities aged between eighteen and twenty five.
• Support and champion learners development of their independent living, employability, social and communication skills in line with their future aspirations.
• Work as part of a coordinated team, including: Tutors, Managers, Team leaders, Transition Team to provide outstanding support for learners with severe, moderate and complex learning difficulties and or disabilities (LDD).
• To encourage and motivate learners to lead their care and learning support needs.
• Support and complement the role of the tutor in structured learning sessions under the direction of the tutor.
• Support learners with off site activities including work, leisure and educational tasks and visits.

• Good level of Maths, English and computer literacy skills.
• Minimum of two years experience of working with young people or adults with a range of severe, complex and moderate learning difficulties and or disabilities or behavioural needs.
• Be physically fit and robust enough to support our wide range of learners with complex needs, including those learners who require personal care.
• This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check and satisfactory references.
