Key information

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Membership and Fundraising Executive to support and grow our thriving membership community of over 9,000 supporters. 

This is an exciting opportunity to help deliver exceptional member experiences while generating vital income that enables the museum to fulfil its mission as a global hub for the transformative potential of design.

Design Museum Kensington is the place of work - with a hybrid arrangement of 60% of an employee’s role to be performed at the museum and 40% remote.

About the role

  • Delivering excellent customer service and acting as a first point of contact for member enquiries.
  • Managing membership administration, maintaining accurate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) records and processing payments.
  • Creating engaging member communications, including newsletters, website content and email campaigns.
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of exclusive member events and engagement activities.
  • Producing reports and insights to support membership growth, retention and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering excellent customer service and resolving complex queries effectively.
  • Experience creating communications or marketing content such as website copy, newsletters or email campaigns.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, working confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong administrative and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
