Overview

The NTP Production Administrator (NT Traineeship) will support the work of a busy production department by ensuring that the office runs in an efficient manner. They will also act as an assistant to the Director of Commercial Producing and Managing Director. Alongside supporting the day-to-day operation of the office, this role will have the opportunity to gain practical experience of commercial producing through involvement in the National Theatre's transfer and touring activity.

Key information

We are looking for a NTP Production Administrator (NT Traineeship)  to join the National Theatre's Productions Team.  

About the role

  • Overseeing the daily routine of the office 
  • Maintaining office contact databases and filing systems 
  • Coordinate diary management and travel arrangements for the Director of Commercial Producing and Managing Director
  • Processing expenses and credit card reconciliations for the NTP team
  • Booking courier deliveries and transport
  • Supporting the Associate Producer in the administration and oversight of National Theatre transfers and touring productions
  • Coordinating the flow of information between the NT and external general management and production partners
  • Maintaining production schedules, key dates, approval trackers and contact lists.
  • Monitoring deadlines and ensure timely receipt of materials from partner organisations
  • Supporting productions in development, assisting with the administrative set-up of new projects
  • Sourcing, book and coordinate rehearsal spaces and meeting rooms as required.

Requirements

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to act as a first point of contact
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience in office administration
