Key information

We have a brand new opportunity available for a Non-Functional Performance Tester with strong experience in data-intensive systems.

We operate a hybrid schedule, meaning 2 to 3 days a week in the office based at Thorpe Park, Leeds.

We work on a core hours principle. Our core hours are 09:30 to 16:00; you can work around these to suit you!

About the role

  • Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits across applications, networks, and data environments.
  • Design and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability tests for data-driven applications.
  • Analyse system behaviour under different data volumes and user loads.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to understand data flows and identify performance bottlenecks.
  • Develop test scripts and scenarios using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
  • Monitor system metrics (CPU, memory, I/O, network) during test execution.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of Agile principles and Scrum methodology.
  • Proven ability to define, prioritise, and deliver high-quality software features.
  • Proven experience in non-functional testing, especially performance and scalability testing.
  • Strong understanding of data systems, including relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (for example, JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (for example, Grafana, New Relic).
