Key information

This job is made for someone who loves a plan, looking after the logistics of making TV.

This is perfect for someone who is a natural organiser, thriving off ensuring the smooth running of a project and working to a schedule - but with the ability to be adaptable! Things don't always go according to schedule.

About the role

What you might be doing as a Production Coordinator:

  • Assisting with scheduling and logistics: Help with creating and maintaining production schedules, organising call sheets, and ensuring that all logistics are in place for the team.
  • Supporting resource management: Coordinate the delivery of production materials, props, and equipment.
  • Communication support: Act as a key point of contact between different departments, ensuring that information is shared quickly and clearly.
  • Administrative assistance: Help with various office tasks, including managing documentation, handling invoices, and assisting with budget tracking.
  • Problem-solving: Assist in identifying and resolving minor issues on set to keep the production moving forward smoothly.

On the job training

Over the course of 12 months, thinkBIGGER! will provide ongoing training, checking in with you monthly—either in person or virtually—to monitor your progress and offer additional support to help grow your career. The programme will begin with a one-week TV Boot Camp, where you'll receive an introduction to the scheme and an overview of what to expect throughout the year. This kick-off week is designed to set you up for success and give you the best start possible.

How does the scheme work?

The scheme lasts for a full year, starting from the 14 September 2026. Upon starting the scheme, trainees will do a week long boot camp with our training partner, thinkBIGGER! They will start with their chosen company in their second week of the scheme. Trainees will then be required to attend in-person or virtual training for about 25 days over the course of the year. Where relevant, Channel 4 will cover any travel and accommodation costs for training.
