Key information

We are looking for an experienced, proactive Mental Health Practitioner to manage our Recovery Service in Whalley Range, Manchester. 

You’ll lead a dedicated team providing person-centred care for 11 individuals with enduring mental health needs and one with a learning disability.

Our service focuses on developing skills and confidence for independent living and an active lifestyle. We empower service users, encouraging self-management, resilience, and strength-based approaches rooted in respect and positive regard.

About the role

  • Recruitment and selection of staff matched to needs of service users
  • Management and support of a team of senior staff and support staff
  • Ensure rota planning and the deployment of staff to meet the needs of service users
  • Ensuring continuous, reliable and consistent service delivery at all times
  • Maximising positive outcomes for all service users
  • Performance management
  • Safeguarding lead
  • Managing Voids and Occupancy

Requirements

  • Above all you will be warm, able to engage and approachable
  • At least 2 years of practitioner experience is essential for this role
  • You are a “hands on” leader
  • You will be an adept communicator both verbally and in writing
  • You will be an excellent problem solver
  • You will be confident
  • You will have experience working with individuals with mental health needs
  • You will be a highly effective communicator able to create balance between boundary and patient, with an inclusive and sensitive approach
  • You will understand the potential impact of behaviour upon staff and have knowledge of trauma informed approaches
