Key information

We are looking for a Project Officer – Workforce to join the team to support the Learning Academy alongside multiple long-term projects.

As Project Officer, you will provide programme support and co-ordination to the Learning Academy team. This will include line management of 3 Project Coordinators and involve regular liaison with our extended workforce of Tutors, Development Coaches and Athlete Mentors, who make up our Leaning Academy. 

You'll oversee the planning and deployment of our Learning Academy workforce, ensuring programmes are fully resourced and delivered effectively.

About the role

  • Develop, co-ordinate and continuously improve all systems and processes relating to programme implementation, ensuring their usage is embedded across the organisation.
  • Lead and manage a team of Project Coordinators to ensure the effective deployment of Athlete Mentors, Development Coaches, and Tutors (Learning Academy).
  • Ensure the effective planning of all Youth Sport Trust (YST) programmes.
  • Supporting the Business Support Team and Finance Teams as required

Requirements

  • Proven knowledge of project management/support with a proven track record of complex delivery.
  • Proven communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively and influence a range of audiences and stakeholders.
  • Experience of working with a range of internal and external stakeholders and coordinating activity across different teams or organisations.
  • Experience of managing and interpreting data and information and maintaining accurate records, with an ability to produce clear written and verbal reports.
  • Self-reliant, pro-active and able to work effectively on own initiative, take ownership of areas of work and follow through on agreed actions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team skills with the ability to deal with a wide range of people, and capability to communicate effectively with all a range of internal & external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build positive working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
