This is an exciting opportunity to join Dementia UK’s growing Community Fundraising team as a Regional Fundraiser, which is expanding in response to sustained year-on-year growth and our ambitious five-year organisational strategy.


This is a role for someone who thrives on connection, purpose, and the opportunity to help families affected by dementia receive the support they need, when they need it most.

About the role

  • Collaborate with Community Fundraising Managers to deliver the Community Fundraising strategy and operational plan, contributing to the development of the annual budget for your area.
  • Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities within your geographic area — including partnerships with local businesses, community organisations and influential individuals.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective supporters, ensuring long-term growth and sustainability of income.
  • Lead on the development and management of supporter relationships, delivering exceptional stewardship that deepens engagement and increases lifetime value.
  • Create and deliver personalised supporter journeys that inspire continued involvement and generosity.
  • Actively listen to supporter feedback to enhance fundraising experiences and uncover new opportunities for collaboration.
  • Be an active and valued member of the Regional Fundraising team and wider Community Fundraising team, contributing ideas, insights, and energy.
  • Work collaboratively across Fundraising, Marketing, and Communications to promote campaigns, products, and events to supporters in your area and contribute to Regional Fundraising content on website and social media channels.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in community fundraising, relationship management or new business.
  • A clear understanding of community fundraising across both relationship management and new business development.
  • Experience of successfully building and sustaining stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience of successfully achieving financial targets.
  • Understanding of adherence to the Fundraising Code of Practice and fundraising regulations.
  • Full clean driving license and access to own car.
  • Excellent team-working skills and able to work collaboratively with other teams.
  • IT literate with intermediate level Microsoft Office 365 applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams.
