Key information

As a Regional Housing Officer, you’ll play a vital role in helping us provide safe, secure and well‑managed homes for the people we support. Advance is a specialist supported housing association, committed to delivering high‑quality services and developing more homes for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and those striving for greater independence.

Covering Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Luton, Berkshire, Surrey and Hertfordshire with the flexibility of some home working, you’ll manage a broad and varied patch of rented and shared ownership properties. You’ll work closely with customers, colleagues, local authorities and support providers to ensure tenancies are sustainable, homes meet high standards, and every customer receives a positive and respectful service.

About the role

  • Manage a patch of properties, ensuring homes are safe, compliant and ready to let
  • Work closely with customers, support providers and local agencies to create positive tenancy outcomes
  • Carry out viewings, sign-ups and tenancy visits, supporting customers to maintain their homes
  • Monitor rent accounts, address arrears and follow agreed procedures, including court attendance where required
  • Respond to Anti-Social Behaviour concerns, neighbour disputes and customer queries with empathy and professionalism
  • Keep accurate tenancy and housing records on our systems and ensure lettings and property standards are met

Requirements

  • Experience in housing management and knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Confident working with diverse customers, including those with mental or physical disabilities
  • As travel is a requirement of the role, a full, current driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential
  • Strong communication, relationship‑building and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to use housing databases (Open Housing or similar) and produce clear reports

  • General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSEs) in Maths and English (or equivalent); enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) required
