As a Break support worker you will be working hands on day in day out with the young people living in the children’s home.
You will need to be an excellent team player who is warm, caring, calm and resilient enough to cope with the complex emotional and behavioural needs of the young people we support.
To assist the management team in ensuring that the Service achieves its strategic aims. You will ensure that all of your actions on duty are focussed on maximising positive outcomes for our service users.
The first twelve months of your time at Break will see you build relationships with the young people we care for and support in our homes. Day to day you may find yourself planning and taking part in trips and activities and learning new skills to help young people overcome communication difficulties.

You will need to successfully complete an National Vocational Qualification Level 3 in Residential Childcare before you complete twenty four months of Support Work if not already done so. This will be fully funded by Break and you will be supported by our training team.
An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check is required for the role. This will be funded by Break.
