We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic Retail Store Manager to play a key role in our Retail team at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.
£30,312.56
Per year.
Full time, Permanent
(37.5 Hours per week.)
Leeds, West Yorkshire

Key information

You will support on buying, product development and merchandising of the Leeds store. You will provide a range of administrative support, including planning and coordination of stock ordering and deliveries and will also be expected to maintain up to date accurate information on computerised records and systems to produce reports and documents in line with corporate commercial standards.

This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week, five days out of seven days between Monday to Sunday. Bank Holidays, weekend and evening working will also be required.

About the role

  • Ensure that the Retail team meet income targets for both instore Leeds and online.
  • Maximize sales, meet and exceed monthly and yearly financial target for Leeds and online Retail.
  • Protect the Royal Armouries commercial interests and ensure that margin and profit expectations are met.
  • Be present on the shop floor to provide direction and supervision to the shop team at all times.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring all start and end of day procedures are followed and completed in line with financial regulations.
  • Deliver the highest level of customer service and optimise where possible the customer journey and enhance the customer experience.

Requirements

  • Experience in merchandising and planning within a retail environment.
  • Experience in managing or supervising teams.
  • Cash handling and cashing up experience.
  • Sound knowledge of retail best practice.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to plan and organise resources and workloads to create superior customer experience.
