Key information

We are welcoming 2 interns to be part of the Roundhouse team in our iconic building. This is a practical programme, running 2 days a week over 4 months (16 weeks) including onsite work during our Roundhouse 360 Festival in April.

About the role

This opportunity is open to those aged 21 to 25 looking to gain entry level skills and experience in the creative industries. We welcome applications from people who feel they can bring their own skills, experiences and ideas to the table and empower those around them to do the same. We are keen to hear from young people who are under-represented in the live events industry or who have experienced barriers to accessing the industry.

The 4-month programme aims to equip interns with:

  • Knowledge of live events sector & practical experience of working in different teams within the Roundhouse workforce 
  • Employability skills: support with CV, interviews and creative mentorship 
  • Understanding of industry best practice and career development ‘in the field’ through working on events and in different departments of Roundhouse

Requirements

This internship might be for you if: 

  • You are aged 21-25 
  • You have a passion for the live events industry - this could be live concerts, festivals, club shows, production and more 
  • You would love a career in this industry but don’t know where to start 
  • You may have done some unskilled work in the sector but have never been employed in a production-based role in a live events setting 
  • You are able to commit to an in-person internship, working 2 days per week, including potential evenings and weekends 
  • You are able to commit to the full 360 Festival experience including the increased onsite hours during the month of April. 
  • You are looking to gain new experiences and engage with people from different backgrounds.

This internship is NOT for you if:

  • You are not aged 21 to 25 
  • You have been employed in a production-based role in a live events setting (This could be a role at an arts organisation, festival, event venue or other events setting) 
  • You are unavailable for the full dates of the internship
