Key information

As a Security Officer at ABM UK, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises. You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of security, preventing unauthorized access, and responding to any security incidents that may arise. In addition, you will contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for both employees and visitors.

About the role

  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or unauthorized entry
  • Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter and address any security concerns
  • Respond to emergency situations, including fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters
  • Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with other security personnel and law enforcement agencies, when necessary
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors, answering inquiries and addressing concerns

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of security procedures and protocols
  • Valid SIA license and/or relevant certifications (CCTV, First Aid, Fire Safety, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and handle stressful situations
  • Attention to detail and a high level of observation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions
