Key information

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyor registered valuer to join our Commercial Valuations team based in Winchester. The role will have a particular focus on providing valuations for loan security purposes to all major banks and the post will suit someone looking for a new career challenge and with the desire to build client relations while ensuring the delivery of excellent service to all our clients.

About the role

  • Work within the existing valuation team in Winchester, providing valuations for loan security (vacant possession and investment), internal decision-making purposes, tax and financial reporting purposes.
  • Carry out inspections, calculating floor and site areas, comparable research, demographic and economic research, planning and statutory enquiries, company trading analysis, lease reading and summarising, development / option agreement reading and reviewing, preparation of valuations / development appraisals.
  • Contribution to the growth of the business by identifying new business opportunities across the Commercial valuation sector.
  • Assist in the delivery of major projects.
  • Financial and client reporting.
  • Delivery of valuation reports in accordance with client instructions and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyor Valuation Standards.

Requirements

  • You will be an experienced chartered surveyor and registered valuer, with a strong knowledge of valuations across commercial assets.
  • You will have good working knowledge of relevant legislation and will ideally have a strong understanding of the local market to be able to identify new opportunities to grow the business further. 
  • Travel will be required in this role, and a driving licence is essential.
