We are looking for an organised Senior Hospital Administrator with a passion for making a difference to others.

Cygnet Appletree, near Durham, is a mental health hospital for women that includes Pippin Ward, a specialist Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) service and Bramley Ward, an intensive support service for women with a personality disorder and complex mental health needs.

About the role

  • Ensure Human Resources (HR) systems are regularly maintained and updated
  • Work with the Human Resources teams and provide administrative support
  • Ensure all Human Resources records and systems are accurate and comply with the Data Protection Act
  • Maintain employee personnel files and ensure they are fully compliant with Care Quality Commission guidelines
  • Proactively develop and implement robust systems across Cygnet
  • Assist in the maintenance of employee data on Cygnet’s Human Resources information system
  • Support the senior management team
  • Oversee a team of staff to ensure the departments run smoothly

Requirements

  • An effective and experienced Human Resources (HR) administrator in a healthcare setting
  • Genuinely driven with a desire to make a real difference in people’s lives
  • An excellent administrator with a track record in managing a team
  • Experienced in the healthcare sector with a knowledge of mental health
  • Flexible and organised with a strong understanding of office working procedures
  • Able to prioritise workloads, solve problems and make decisions
  • An approachable leader and strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
