This is an exciting time to join Dementia UK. 

We're making significant investment in our fundraising programme as part of an ambitious new five-year strategy, creating two brand-new senior leadership roles that will play a pivotal part in growing sustainable income and helping more families access specialist dementia support.

About the role

  • As Senior Manager, Legacies and In Memory, you'll lead the development and delivery of an ambitious strategy that inspires more people to leave a gift in their Will or give in memory of a loved one. 
  • You'll lead a talented team, foster a positive, high-performing culture and work across the organisation to maximise long-term fundraising opportunities.
  • Monitor and update income models based on actual performance to project long-term income.
  • Identify opportunities to grow the programme, developing insight led propositions and products that inspire action and maximise support.

Requirements

  • You'll bring substantial experience of leading successful Legacies and or In Memory fundraising programmes across both marketing and stewardship functions, with a track record of developing long-term strategies that grow sustainable income. 
  • You'll understand the sensitive nature of these audiences and be experienced in creating compelling supporter journeys, managing significant budgets and identifying innovative opportunities to grow legacy and in memory giving.
  • We're looking for an experienced and confident leader who knows how to build high-performing teams. 
  • You'll have a track record of creating an inclusive, positive team culture where people feel supported, motivated and empowered to achieve ambitious goals. 
  • You'll be comfortable leading through change, bringing people with you and helping teams adapt, grow and succeed during a period of transformation.
