This is an opportunity to play a key role in a pioneering regional Foster Carer Wellbeing Programme, working with local authority partners across the South East to improve support for foster carers and the children and families they care for.

The role is based at Time Square, Bracknell, with around 5 to 10 days per month in the office and the remainder working from home. Some travel across partner authorities and occasional travel to London will be required to support programme delivery and sessions.

As Senior Projects and Business Support Officer, you will be a key point of contact for the programme and an important member of a collaborative regional team.

About the role

  • Manage the Administration Assistant to the Foster Carer Wellbeing programme.
  • Coordinate the Regional Foster Carer Wellbeing Programme, ensuring operational and administrative activities are delivered effectively and on time.
  • Manage programme governance and information governance processes, including coordinating meetings, maintaining action logs, preparing monitoring reports, briefings and project board papers and ensuring accurate programme documentation.
  • Plan coaching sessions, workshops and learning activities, producing resources and coordinating all delivery logistics.
  • Create newsletters, social media posts and promotional content, supporting campaigns to increase awareness, engagement and participation.

Requirements

  • Experience providing administrative, operational or project support within a programme or organisational environment. 
  • Experience supporting governance processes, coordination or operational programme delivery.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the requirements of safeguarding children, young people, vulnerable adults and promoting their welfare. 
  • Strong organisational and programme coordination skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
  • The post holder must hold a full UK driving licence (or valid equivalent). Non-UK licences must be converted to UK licences in the first six months of employment. 
  • Friendly, approachable and professional working style.
