Key information

We are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic Social Media Officer to join our growing Marketing and Communications team. 

The Social Media Officer will, alongside the Head of Marketing and Communications, oversee Creative Support’s social media channels and content. 

Working collaboratively with the Communications and Multimedia teams, they will ensure our social media content is relevant, creative and engaging. 

They will also establish a network of colleagues across the country to oversee local social media pages, ensuring pages are well-maintained and frequently updated with exciting content.

About the role

  • Ensure that Creative Support’s national social media channels feature relevant, interesting and engaging content suited to each audience.
  • Produce social media stories in line with our online strategy and goals.
  • Work with regional colleagues to ensure local social media pages are performing optimally and sharing best practice as part of an established network of social media administrators across services.
  • To ensure effective communication with line manager.
  • To accept regular support and supervision from line manager.
  • To carry out all work in a manner consistent with the aims and principles of Creative Support.
  • To comply with and to implement the Equal Opportunities Policy of Creative Support.

Requirements

  • An understanding of the social care sector in which Creative Support operates
  • An understanding of the social media platforms Creative Support uses and plans to use in the future (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok)
  • Experience in writing and editing text
  • A good eye for the type of imagery that works best for social media and each platform
  • Excellent organisational skills, including prioritisation of tasks
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
