Based in Hardley, Southampton (SO45) and required to travel across the South of England, between Worcestershire, London, Wiltshire and Dorset

Key information

Covering areas within the South of England, we’re looking for a Stock Collection and Distribution Driver with great time management and relationship building skills to join our retail team! 

Reporting to our Retail Administration Manager, you will be working with our charity shops to ensure donation bags are collected and delivered to their destination to be sold, enabling our charity to support sick, injured and homeless pets.

Daily mileage could be up to 300 miles per day.

Trust us – no two days will be the same!

About the role

  • Liaising with shops on a regular basis to ensure their stock requirements are met
  • Carrying out the collection and transfer of stock between the shops delivering to the stock rooms
  • Carrying out all portable appliance testing (PAT) on electrical items in shops when required
  • Ensuring the van is kept clean and serviced as required and to ensure the security of the vehicle, equipment and goods at all times
  • Carrying out administrative duties as required
  • Carrying out all tasks in accordance with current Health and Safety procedures and to follow safe lifting and loading practices
  • Representing, promoting and raising the profile of Blue Cross

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience of a driving-based role
  • Awareness of road traffic laws and regulations
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • In the interest of Health and Safety whilst performing a physically active job, individuals are required to have the ability to perform their job safely and effectively.
