Key information

We are seeking a current University student to support the delivery of our Energy Advice Centre. 

The role involves engaging with members of the public, providing energy advice and signposting, supporting outreach activities, maintaining resources and records, and helping to promote the service.

About the role

  • Establish and maintain the day-to-day operation of the Energy Advice Centre so that it provides a welcoming, accessible and effective service to members of the public.
  • Undertake relevant training and engage with visitors to provide clear, practical energy advice, information and signposting so that they can access appropriate support and make informed decisions about their energy use.
  • Promote the Energy Advice Centre and support outreach activities with the local community so that the service reaches and benefits those who could make use of its support.
  • Maintain accurate information and resources, including the Centre's website as this develops, so that members of the public can easily access up-to-date energy advice and information.
  • Gather feedback and maintain appropriate records of activity and engagement so that the effectiveness and impact of the Energy Advice Centre can be monitored and opportunities for improvement identified.
