Key information

The Supply Chain and Contract Management apprentice will support both the Supply Chain and Contract Management teams to drive forward their strategic projects and management activities to mitigate risk and deliver value from our supply chain relationships and contracts. This role will support the Supply Chain and Contract Management teams to comply with existing and new legislation.

We're a Disability Confident Leader. Let us know about any reasonable adjustments you may need in the recruitment process and as part of the role if you are successful.

About the role

  • Support the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team in gathering and presenting information, by meeting with internal stakeholders, using templates to capture qualitative and quantitative data, checking information for accuracy, and organising it into clear summaries, so the SCM team can publish procurement opportunities and a compliant procurement pipeline.
  • Support market engagement activities for upcoming procurement exercises by supporting event planning, preparing supplier briefing packs, creating feedback surveys, taking notes during sessions, and collating supplier responses, so that procurement strategies reflect market insight.
  • Assist with developing and digitalising the contract and supplier performance management system, by gathering user requirements, testing system features, uploading or validating performance data, and supporting the creation of dashboards or guidance materials, to help ensure the system is user‑friendly, accurate, and compliant with relevant legislation.
  • You'll analyse contract and supplier performance data, by utilising digital platforms to check for trends, issues and areas of risk, in order to produce reports and visual summaries that help identify mitigation for risks.
