Our mission is to eradicate homelessness for young people and vulnerable women. But for thousands of the most vulnerable people in Wales, homelessness is a frightening reality. 

30 years ago Llamau was founded to provide homeless teenagers with a safe place to stay. Since then, we have supported over 67,000 young people, women and their children who are either homeless or facing homelessness. 

You will be co-ordinating the delivery of support for young people in line with their Individual Support Plan. For young people supported in Llamau Project Houses this will include delegating some tasks to be completed by Support Assistants / Project Workers (nights), and ensuring completion of these tasks.

• Key working a caseload of clients across the area, you’ll be given the trust to work autonomously and manage your own schedule
• Working from home, the office and out in the community, you’ll work proactively to achieve positive outcomes and goals outlined by individuals, by using a creative approach tailored to each person’s needs
• You’ll have chance to broaden or strengthen your skills in supporting a range of complex of needs, including housing crisis, substance misuse, complex mental health, ACEs, offending behaviour and so on.
• You’ll develop and strengthen your understanding of ACEs, and will work with a trauma informed approach and in a physiologically informed environment
• Further enhance your relationship building and partnership working skills, by promoting your services and working closely relevant local agencies such as the local authority, specialist charities, education and training providers, probation, social services, and housing provisions and so on.

• The ability to engage and build strong relationships with people
• A non-judgemental mindset and an understanding of the impacts of homelessness, substance misuse, family breakdown, domestic abuse, and trauma
• A forward-thinking and resilient attitude, to overcome the barriers and setbacks you will face
• A strong character who can remain calm and collected in challenging situations
• Experience in support work or housing, with an understanding of housing options, housing law and basic benefits
• A full UK driving license and access to a car
