Key information

If you’re someone who leads with empathy, champions quality of life, and believes in supporting people to live the lives they choose, while building genuine, trusted relationships, this could be the role for you.

About the role

As a Support Worker, you’ll help people live fuller, more independent lives by:

  • Supporting daily routines from morning to bedtime
  • Planning and enjoying person‑centred activities — walks, swimming, shopping and trips out
  • Building trusted, respectful relationships that support confidence and wellbeing
  • Keeping clear and accurate records
  • Working closely with colleagues and professionals

This is a role where building strong relationships is just as important as providing practical support.

James* lives in a single occupancy home which is purposely adapted to meet his complex needs. He loves going out to buy things, walks, drives and sightseeing at the local lakes. When he is not out and about enjoying himself, he usually likes being at home playing with toys, solving puzzles and baking yummy treats. James also loves resting at home while watching TV and listening to music.
*Please note, the real name has been changed to protect the individual's identity confidentiality.

You’ll be making a real impact with a person who have:

  • Autism
  • Learning disabilities
  • Physical conditions
  • Behaviours that challenge

If you’re compassionate, resilient, and ready to learn, this is your moment. It’s hands-on, it’s heart-led, and yes — it’s brilliant.

We are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.

  • We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and experiences, including those with disabilities or who are neurodivergent.
  • Reasonable adjustments are available throughout the recruitment process.
  • In exceptional circumstances, a genuine occupational requirement may apply under the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1)

For this role, gender is considered a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010

Requirements

This is a physical, hands-on role, and to success you'll have;

• Good spoken and written English
• A full UK manual driving licence
• The right to live and work in the UK
• A practical, active approach to work, with the ability to support people throughout the day
• A caring, positive and resilient mindset

If you genuinely care about people, we can teach you the rest.
