Our mission is to eradicate homelessness for young people and vulnerable women. But for thousands of the most vulnerable people in Wales, homelessness is a frightening reality. 

To support the Upstream Cymru and work with young people identified within school as being most at  risk of homelessness.

• To work with the named person responsible for identifying those young people most at risk of homelessness through the Upstream Cymru Digital Survey.
• To work within the identified schools and develop strong and positive working relationships with all school staff.
• Be accessible and available to young people within the school setting who have been identified as needing support.
• Provide regular support sessions with young people identified as needing intensive support to prevent homelessness and disengagement from Education.
• Undertake assessments of any additional support needed, following identification through the Upstream Cymru Digital Survey.

• Experience of working with vulnerable children, young people and families at times of stress.
• Ability to liaise and negotiate professionally at all levels.
• Ability to key work a number of young people with a range of support needs and risks.
• To work on own initiative and under pressure.
• Be non-judgemental and show kindness and compassion.
• Understanding of the range and availability of housing, education and training options for young people.
