Working directly with learners and teaching staff, the postholder will support students to study, complete assessments, and develop confidence through the medium of Welsh or bilingually, ensuring equitable access to high-quality learning opportunities.
The role involves providing in-class, one-to-one, and small group support to learners, assisting with language development, assessment understanding, and the effective use of Welsh within vocational and academic contexts. Welsh Language Officers also collaborate closely with teaching teams to embed Welsh naturally into learning activities, adapt and develop bilingual resources, and monitor learner progress.
This post is central to strengthening the Welsh language across provision, supporting learner progression, and contributing to an inclusive, bilingual learning environment aligned with institutional and national priorities.
