The Young People’s Digital Platform Manager will be the driving force behind the Roundhouse’s new Young People’s Digital Platform (currently under development), creating a vibrant, inclusive online space where young people feel safe to connect, collaborate and create.

2 year fixed-term contract.

About the role

  • Engage, support and enable the community through initiatives designed to stimulate engagement, responding to calls to action and contributing to conversation and debate.
  • In line with the Roundhouse creative programme and in consultation with Roundhouse Creative Programme Managers, and the Roundhouse Film and Broadcast Producer, oversee the design, production and delivery of digital creative learning content for the platform.
  • With the Young People’s Digital Platform Coordinator, compose and regularly post community-facing communications.
  • Ensure all programmed activities and provisions are delivered safely and in line with organisational policies, and in accordance to contractual agreements and Service Level Agreements, including Safeguarding, Health and Safety, data protection and public guidance and legislation on digital engagement including the UK Online Safety Act.
  • Actively oversee and moderate user generated content posts, making decisions regarding appropriate in line with agreed policy.
  • Manage and, with the Young People’s Digital Platform Coordinator, implement processes for user reporting of non-compliant activity and timely effective responses and remedial action.

Requirements

  • Experience managing communities on private or public networks and platforms.
  • Proficient in digital content production workflows, IT, Content Management Systems, and content moderation systems.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience of working with young people and implementing safeguarding measures.
  • Knowledge of the current arts and cultural education environment.
  • Experience of community platform and content moderation, ideally with some knowledge of the UK Online Safety Act (OSA).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to engage, inspire and motivate participation amongst young people.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to monitor and facilitate communication across multiple channels.
