Job description

The role sits within Scope’s Business Influencing team. The team works with businesses to achieve change against Scope’s ambitious goals, as part of the new strategy, An Equal Future.

Scope’s Business Development Executive will play a vital role in securing newrelationshipswith partners. You will focus on Scope’s influencing work. This includes the promotion and sales of Scope's business services. These services support organisations to become more inclusive of disabled people.

You will work with the Head of Business Influencing and Programme Lead,to generate new and innovative partnerships. Workingproactively tobuildastrong, sustainable prospect pipeline,you will be responsible for leading onnew relationships across strategic sectors.

You will be joining an innovative and friendly team.Your role will offer the opportunity to develop key skills in developing new relationships with partners. SupportingScope in achieving An Equal Future for disabled people in the UK.

This role would be well suited for those looking to transition to the Third Sector or progress from an Officer or administrative role.

Main responsibilities

  • Operate effectively in an entrepreneurial, ambitious, and focused team.
  • Deliver to a financial budget and target
  • Development of the pipeline. Focusing on prospecting within Scope’s priority sectors
  • Qualifying companies against Scope’s criteria
  • Building relationships across a variety of partnership types.
  • Build compelling strategic propositions to take to market. Collaborating with the SBDL and other Scope teams.
  • Work with the SBDL to ensure effective management of pipeline and asks submitted to prospects.
  • Collaborate with teams across Scope. Spotting opportunities to engage with potential partners.
  • Follow Scope’s policy and procedures, and external compliance. Including GDPR, complaints, and best fundraising practice

Knowledge and experience

Essential

  • Excellent communication and relationship skills.
  • Internal stakeholder management.
  • Experience of working in collaboration with others.

  • Knowledge of Third Sector partnerships.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining a pipeline.
