Job Description

The Ecommerce Warehouse Assistant is responsible for preparing and completing online customer orders for delivery or pickup from Scope’s Ecommerce Hub. As well as managing the stock inventory.

Some evening, weekend and Bank Holiday working will be required in line with Ecommerce Hub operating hours.

Main responsibilities

  • Prepare and complete customer orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (pick, pack, wrap, label, ship). Meeting targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Follow pre-determined processes for stock management
  • Report any discrepancies to the Ecommerce Warehouse Lead.
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and colleagues.
  • Maintain a safe working environment - clearing waste, general cleaning and housekeeping duties.

Person specification

Knowledge and experience

Essential

  • Understanding of health and safety general guidelines. Including manual handling and compliance with company policies and procedures. Full training will be given.

Desirable

  • Previous picking and packing experience would be advantageous, but full training will be given.

Skills

Essential

  • The role requires continuous manual handling of stock in volume, daily. It will require a reasonable level of fitness and exertion, including carrying stock on a regular basis.
  • Ability to read and understand manifest documents, print, collate, pack and label customer orders.
  • Good attention to detail (due to ever changing stock)
  • Good communication skills and able to work within a team
  • Ability to use own initiative as will be working independently on specific orders within a fast-paced working environment.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and a daily work schedule.
  • Ability to adapt to change as we continually strive to improve the ecommerce operation
  • Computer literate (for stock inventory)
  • Willingness to have a DBS check – as the role may work alongside volunteer team members.
