Main responsibilities and accountabilities
Deliver engaging and best in class designs across Scope’s offline and online marketing projects, ensuring all outputs are of the highest standard
Design and support delivery of high-quality print and digital materials; which include fundraising materials, retail POS, booklets, leaflets, posters, social media and web assets.
Play an active role in creative brainstorming and idea generation
Be a guardian of Scope’s brand and ensure work is consistent with brand guidelines and accessibility guidelines
Work with photographers, film makers and copywriters in order to meet all Scope’s content needs, and ensure all assets are stored effectively via our digital asset management system
Champion accessible and inclusive design
Work collaboratively with the Account Management team ensuring the successful delivery of multichannel marketing materials
Amend and update existing artwork files as needed
Support the creative team with day to day design requests and tasks and work collaboratively with teams across the charity
Lead by example, live Scope’s values and provide safe working space that nurtures employees potential
Comply with all Scope’s policies, procedures and external compliance such as GDPR, complaints and best marketing practice

Knowledge and experience
Essential
Minimum level 3 qualification in graphic design (e.g. BTEC, Apprenticeship etc) or degree
OR previous experience of working in a design role, either in an in-house creative studio or as a freelancer
Good knowledge of design fundamentals including typography, colour and layout
Working on creative briefs from concept through to delivery
Ability to correctly set up work to print production and digital specifications
Experience of working with brand guidelines and developing work in line with critical feedback
Desirable
Understanding of accessible and inclusive design principles and how to implement them
Experience of working for charity brands
Understanding of the Social Model of Disability

Able to present a highly creative and diverse portfolio of work
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
Knowledge and experience of designing for print and digital
